Cruz Beckham’s music prompted speculation it was about his brother Brooklyn amid reports of their family fallout.
He released his six-song debut EP Wear & Tear with his band, The Breakers on Friday, while he is away on holiday with his family.
Speculation was rife about whether some of the lyrics were about his oldest brother.
Cruz Beckham’s Loneliest Boy lyrics fuel Brooklyn Beckham speculation
Track Loneliest Boy has prompted listeners to speculate about Cruz’s estranged Brooklyn.
One lyric refers to someone “breaking mama’s heart”, while another urges the unnamed subject not to push friends away when they try to show love. Cruz sang: “Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much / It’s breaking hеr heart.”
Other lyrics include: “Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening / Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.”
The song never names Brooklyn in the lyrics supplied with reports about the release.
Brooklyn publicly addressed the family breakdown in a statement earlier this year. He made a series of claims about parents David and Victoria, including that they had tried to interfere in his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz.
That ongoing estrangement has ensured close scrutiny of Cruz’s music. Yet his explanation of Seeing Red also offers a reason for caution before treating every lyric as a direct message about the rift.
Cruz Beckham releases debut EP Wear & Tear
Discussing its themes, Cruz said: “We’ve been high, and low, in love and in pain, jealous, upset – we’ve lived and learned. We’ve all got our wear and tear.”
The EP also contains several apparent nods to the Beckham family. The song Wannabe shares its title with the Spice Girls hit that helped launch mum Victoria Beckham’s pop career.
Seeing Red has also attracted attention because of the family’s public tensions. However, Cruz described that track as “a comedic take on a totally unserious moment of frustration, in this case in sports”.
He added: “Everyone’s competitive nature likes to take over now and then, but it’s all fun and games. Seeing red is a nod to that exact turning point.”
The accompanying football-themed video also appears to acknowledge dad David Beckham’s sporting career. It shows Cruz and his bandmates playing a match before tempers rise on the pitch.
Jackie Apostel shares pictures with Cruz
The music release comes as Cruz is away with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel and his family in Europe.
The singer and model posted the album on Instagram on Friday. One picture showed her holding lemons while wearing a burnt-orange bandeau bikini. She captioned the playful shot: “sometimes life gives u,” followed by a lemon emoji.
Jackie included several glimpses of the couple’s time at sea in her latest Instagram carousel.

In one loved-up picture, she and Cruz sat together on the edge of the Beckham family’s yacht. Another photograph captured Jackie looking towards the water in a blue triangle bikini.
She also showed off some of her holiday outfits. These included a silk orange dress with white lace detailing and a pink dress. Cruz appeared in another image posing with vegetables beside the sea.
The snaps offered a relaxed look at the family’s annual summer break. MailOnline reported that the Beckhams had spent time aboard their yacht off the coasts of France and Italy.
Jackie and Cruz have shared several moments from their relationship on social media. Her newest update placed their romance at the heart of the holiday album, alongside sea views and sunset scenes.
