Lorraine viewers want Andi Peters to become the new host just two days into his stint on the show.
The daytime TV favourite, 50, is presenting the programme for the next two weeks while regular Lorraine Kelly continues to enjoy a summer break – and viewers think it’s become “completely different”.
What do viewers think about Andi Peters hosting Lorraine?
Andi made his debut as main presenter yesterday (Monday, August 11) and those watching at home already think he should be on “permanently”.
On Twitter, a number of fans of the programme have admitted they much prefer having him on. Some feel he makes it funnier and more “upbeat”.
One said: “This is a completely different show with @andipeters presenting, much more upbeat and watchable. Can we keep Andi on permanently please?”

Another wrote: “Much prefer Andi presenting. Can we have him all the time please? #lorraine.”
Change the show’s title!
A third: “So happy to see the lovely Andi Peters trending. He’s one of the best and he needs to replace that annoying #lorraine permanently.”
Someone else wrote: “#lorraine be gone with Lorraine’s old fashioned presenting and repetitive chit chat. Bring on Andi Peters full time. And change the show’s title!”

Not everyone felt that way, though. Some took issue with Andi’s presenting style.
“Jeez, Andi peters thinks he’s still presenting a Saturday morning kids’ show,” said one, adding: “Watched for five excruciating minutes then went on to Netflix.”

During his first episode as host of Lorraine, Andi grew tearful as his former colleagues came on a surprise interview.
He welled with emotion and admitted he felt “overwhelmed” when his Live and Kicking co-star Emma Forbes appeared via video link.
An ’emotional’ reunion
Their co-star John Barrowman was also on Lorraine, which likewise featured a special message from Live and Kicking announcer Mitch Johnson.
“Emma, good morning!” Andi said to Emma, visibly emotional. “Oh my god… This is amazing. Sorry, I’m slightly overwhelmed.”

Andi’s stint on the show follows several weeks of Christine Lampard hosting.
The Loose Women star presented Lorraine from July 20 to August 7. Andy will host until August 21, after which Christine will present again until September 1.
