‘Update’ on Queen Elizabeth II’s dogs following Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Royal Lodge exit

He adopted the dogs back in 2022

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has seemingly moved Queen Elizabeth II’s dogs with him to his new home following his Royal Lodge exit.

The disgraced former prince, 65, adopted his late mother’s beloved corgis with ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in 2022. After his mother’s death in September of that year, the former couple looked after the dogs at Royal Lodge.

Recently though, Andrew and Ferguson were forced to leave Royal Lodge. This came amid renewed scrutiny over their links to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

While his reported permanent new home, Marsh Farm in Sandringham, undergoes renovations, Andrew is staying on the Norfolk estate in a temporary home.

And this week, the late queen’s dogs were reportedly spotted on a walk at Andrew’s temporary property. This appears to confirm he has retained custody of them.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor brings Queen Elizabeth’s dogs with him to new home

Amid the Epstein scandal, it was not known if Andrew would continue looking after his late mother’s dogs. The two corgis are called Muick and Sandy.

When it was announced in October last year about Andrew’s exit from Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the dogs would “remain with the family”.

Following the release of more than three million files relating to Epstein and his crimes at the end of January, it was claimed last week that Andrew was sent packing from Royal Lodge earlier than planned.

Within the newly released Epstein files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified female. No context has been supplied for the images. It’s also unclear when and where they were taken.

Meanwhile, emails allegedly between Andrew and Epstein emerged in the files. It’s sparked even more intense scrutiny over Andrew’s association with the disgraced financier, which has made headlines for years.

Queen’s corgis ‘move to Sandringham’

According to new reports, pictures have revealed that the late queen’s dogs have moved to Andrew’s temporary home, Wood Farm, in Sandringham.

As reported by MailOnline, the two pets were photographed being taken for a walk by Andrew’s private protection on Monday.

Royal Insider has contacted reps for Buckingham Palace for comment.

With the queen’s dogs living with Andrew, it seems Sarah Ferguson will be without the pets. She is reportedly looking for a new home of her own.

Caring for Her Majesty’s beloved corgis is an honour.

After leaving Royal Lodge it was claimed that she is planning to spend time abroad, but will continue to live in Britain.

A few months ago, she had even gushed about looking after the queen’s pets on social media. She wrote in September: “Today marks three years since the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Her majesty will be forever loved, always missed, and never forgotten.

“Not a day goes by when I don’t think of the kindness I was unstintingly shown in good times and bad. Caring for Her Majesty’s beloved corgis is an honour and a daily reminder of the times we shared together.”

Allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Elsewhere on Monday, King Charles spoke out amid the ongoing Epstein and Andrew scrutiny.

For years, Andrew has faced questions and scrutiny over his links to Epstein. In his BBC Newsnight interview in 2019, Andrew claimed he cut contact with the disgraced financier in late 2010 following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

However, emails that emerged last year appeared to show Andrew allegedly in contact with Epstein in early 2011.

Andrew has also faced allegations of sexual assault. Virginia Giuffre alleged she was made to sleep with Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein.

Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations against him.

Following the recent release of more Epstein files, a second woman has come forward to allege she was sent to the UK by Epstein for a sexual encounter with Andrew in 2010. Royal Insider contacted representatives for Andrew for comment. He hasn’t addressed the allegations.

Buckingham Palace statement on Epstein scandal

This week, a statement from the palace read: “The king has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.

“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect.

Meghan Markle set to ‘appear in new movie Close Personal Friends as she makes return to acting’

In a shock move, Meghan Markle is reportedly set to appear in the new movie Close Personal Friends, as she makes her acting return.

Meghan Markle stepped away from acting back in 2017, right before her and Prince Harry’s engagement was announced. But since then, the duchess has been slowly making more and more of a comeback to our screens.

However, now, five years after leaving their royal duties behind, Meghan is reportedly “putting her toe back in the water” as she is set to appear in a brand new movie.

Meghan Markle ‘on set for new Hollywood movie’ Close Personal Friends

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, seems to be teaming up with a host of famous faces as she films for the Close Personal Friends movie.

Also in the film are Hollywood stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid and Brit Henry Golding.

Meghan hasn’t acted in eight years. But it’s believed she was on set in Pasadena, LA on Wednesday (November 5) filming for the Amazon MGM Studios production.

The movie is believed to follow two couples, one famous and the other not. Meghan is believed to be acting as herself in the movie.

A source spilled the news to The Sun, detailing how much of a huge step this is for the duchess.

They said: “This is a massive moment for Meghan. And it signifies a return to doing what she truly loves.

“She has been swamped with offers. But this one felt right.”

The source explained it was Meghan’s way of “putting her toe back in the water” to see how she feels about being “back on a set”.

While everyone involved has been “sworn to secrecy” over Meghan’s involvement, it’s said that they are all “super excited”.

As for Prince Harry’s reaction, the source claimed: “He is, of course, really supportive. He quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy.”

Meghan’s previous acting career

This isn’t the first movie Meghan had ever acted in. Before she met Harry she had been in a number of films, including Horrible Bosses and Remember Me.

However, it was the TV legal drama series Suits where she found her big break playing Rachel Zane.

She was one of the main characters on the show, up until her exit in season 7 – after she quit to move to the UK for her royal life with Harry.

A few months ago there was speculation on whether or not she would return for the spin-off, however that didn’t happen. And it appears she isn’t actually close to many people from the show anymore.

But Meghan and Harry stepped away from their royal duties back in 2020 and made the big move to Montecito, California.

Since then, both Meghan and Harry have had quite a number of Netflix deals, with the duchess even having her own lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan – which has already aired two seasons.

But now, with Harry’s support, it seems Meghan is wanting to get back into actual acting. And the new movie, Close Personal Friends seems to be a good way to start.

It is unknown when exactly the movie will be released as filming is currently underway.

Meanwhile Andrew’s youngest brother, Prince Edward, spoke out last week amid the scrutiny. He said: “I think it’s all really important always to remember the victims.”

Andrew has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.
