Emily Atack has shared a sweet glimpse inside her intimate wedding to scientist Alistair Garner.
The Inbetweeners star posted photographs from the couple’s UK ceremony, which they celebrated with close family and friends. The day marked the first part of Emily and Alistair’s wedding celebrations, ahead of a second event abroad.
One picture, originally shared by a friend and reposted by Emily, showed the newlyweds cuddling at their reception. Other photographs captured the couple walking back down the aisle together.
Announcing the happy news on Instagram, which you can see here, Emily wrote: “Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect.
“I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don’t we @dralistairgarner.”
Famous friends quickly congratulated the couple. Ruth Langsford wrote: “Congratulations! You both look stunning… and SO happy!”
Amanda Holden said: “Fantastic news!!”
Emily Atack wears ‘£2,325’ wedding dress
Emily, 36, chose a reported £2,325 Josephine Scott gown for the UK ceremony. The plunging design was teamed with a floor-length veil.
The Rivals star and Alistair, 40, became engaged in July 2025. They also share their two-year-old son, Barney, whom they welcomed the previous year.
Although the UK wedding remained an intimate occasion, Emily has made clear that the next instalment will have a very different feel.
Speaking to Luxury London Magazine earlier this year, she said: “I think I’ve nailed it. We’re getting married in September. I’ve very much enjoyed the planning process.”
She also joked about throwing a huge party and said she had enjoyed choosing details including the napkins.
Emily plans to go bigger with her second wedding dress too. Discussing the influence of Rivals on her style, she told Grazia: “Since filming Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally.”

Meanwhile, Emily has also confirmed that children will not attend the overseas event.
Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, she said: “We’re being kind to our friends and making sure that people don’t have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children.”

She added that guests had reacted more positively to the rule than she expected.
The wedding celebrations follow Emily’s Cannes hen weekend in June. The actress enjoyed parties, food and plenty of rosé with friends before joking that the trip had also involved losing her belongings.
Now officially husband and wife, Emily and Alistair have only a few weeks to wait before they celebrate all over again with their guests abroad.
