Nigel Farage has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their move to America.
But he sent huge praise to other members of the royal family, who have stepped up.
Reform UK leader Farage, 60, made his comments about Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, during yesterday’s (January 29) Buckingham Palace reception.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, after they were unhappy with the alleged treatment towards Meghan. The couple then moved to America. But what followed was bombshell after bombshell of claims, which halted any relationship Harry had with his family.

Meghan and Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all interview in 2021, where they opened up on their negative experiences in the monarchy. And then in the years that followed, there have been book and documentary deals.
Since leaving their duties, there have only been a few occasions Prince Harry and his brother Prince William have been together in public. It’s believed that things are incredibly tense behind the scenes.
Now, during a reception hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla, Nigel Farage didn’t hold his opinion back.
Wonder-boy and wonder-girl disappear off to America.
Sky News reported that he accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of weakening the royal family’s workforce because of their move. Referring to the couple as “wonder-boy and wonder-girl,” he criticised them for “disappearing off” to California.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, were also in attendance at the event.
Farage spoke directly with Prince Edward, informing him he had a “very very good chat” with his wife, Sophie.
He then praised Edward’s working skills: “You are working jolly hard.”
After the event, Farage commented on the Edward and Sophie as “charming” people. But he couldn’t resist adding another dig at Prince Harry and Meghan. He said: “They do a lot of heavy lifting because there’s one or two gaps out there. It’s been a difficult few years.”
Elaborating on what exactly he means, Farage commented: “Wonder-boy and wonder-girl disappear off to America. The queen dies. The king has not been well. Andrew is not in the public eye and Princess Anne is 74.”
Because of the added pressure, it’s said that Edward and Sophie have been taking on increased royal duties.
Meghan Markle ‘refused’ Duchess Sophie’s help
Farage’s applause for Sophie comes after reports claimed that Meghan once refused the Duchess of Edinburgh’s help to get settled into the royal family’s lifestyle.
Gyles Brandreth, friend of the royal family, wrote about the alleged snub in his book Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.
He wrote: “The queen (who of course, had seen it all before) understood that Harry’s girl might find adjusting to royal life ‘challenging to begin with’ (as she put it. ‘It’s very jolty. But you soon get used to it.’ That was Her Majesty’s experience going back many years.
Queen Consort Camilla is set to undergo a major title change following the coronation in May, it has recently been reported.
Now, the real reason behind this change in title has been revealed by a royal expert – and it’s not due to her popularity.
Queen Consort Camilla to undergo major title change
Last week it was revealed that Camilla will undergo a major title change at the coronation.
As reported by The Mirror last Thursday (March 16), Camilla will be dropping the ‘Consort’ from her Queen Consort title soon.
Once the coronation is done, the 75-year-old will reportedly be simply known as Queen Camilla going forwards.
The news was revealed when the coronation edition of the bible was leaked.
In it, it reads: “To commemorate the Coronation of their majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. In the Abbey Church of St Peter, Westminster. The sixth day of May 2023.”
When Camilla first married Charles, it was expected that she would become Princess Consort when Charles became King.
However, as per the late Queen Elizabeth’s wishes, Camilla’s title was changed to Queen Consort when Charles took the throne.
Now it seems as though another tweak is in order for Camilla’s royal title.
Why is Queen Consort Camilla changing her title?
Now, the real reason behind Camilla’s title change has been revealed – and it’s nothing to do with her popularity.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam spoke exclusively to ED! about the decision to change Camilla’s title and the reasoning behind it.
“Camilla’s history with titles is unique,” he said.
“She was Princess of Wales but chose to be known as the Duchess of Cornwall,” he then continued.
” It was the official position that when Charles ascended the throne she would be known as Princess Consort, until the Queen’s intervention in the eve of her Platinum Jubilee.”
“She is Queen Consort, but it is a heavy handed title,” he then said.
Camilla title change not down to ‘popularity’
The royal expert then continued, saying: “None of the previous three Queen Consorts used it, Alexandra, Mary and Elizabeth were all known as Queen.”
“In the age of social media and the net bad habits such as calling Catherine – Kate Middleton persist,” he then said.
“It also makes sense to make a title easier to use, which is why the change is likely,” he then continued.
Camilla’s history with titles is unique.
Richard then revealed at this point that the title change has nothing to do with popularity.
“It isn’t really linked to her personal popularity,” he said.
However, there is also another reason behind the change, according to the royal expert.
“Queen Consort Camilla sounds clunky so it will probably change,” he revealed.

But according to Gyles, Meghan refused and she “made it clear” that she did not need any help because “she had Harry”.
