Donald Trump’s most savage remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as he takes new swipe at duchess amid visa fears

It's safe to say the president isn't a fan!

Donald Trump took another pop at Meghan Markle over the weekend as he addressed the possibility of deporting Prince Harry. Again.

Trump recently addressed rumours he’ll deport Prince Harry over his visa issues. However, the president said: “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

It’s not the first time that the president, 78, has taken aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Here’s a look back at some of the president’s most savage remarks about Meghan and Harry over the years…

Donald Trump has made brutal remarks about Harry and Meghan

The relationship between Donald Trump and the Sussexes hasn’t always been bad.

In 2019, during a state visit to the UK, the president spoke very highly of Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43.

The 78-year-old branded Meghan “very nice” and described Harry as being a “terrific guy”.

However, the president’s opinion of the couple changed when they announced they’d be stepping back from life as working royals in 2020.

Taking to Twitter at the time, Trump wrote: “I am a great friend and admirer of the queen and the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”

Trump wrote this despite Harry and Meghan never intending to use US taxpayer’s money for their security.

What Donald Trump has said about Meghan Markle

During Trump’s re-election campaign later that year, he once again hit out at the Sussexes.

This time, his remarks came after Harry and Meghan released a video urging Americans to “vote against hate speech”.

He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.

“I wish a lot of luck to Harry, he’s going to need it,” Trump said, admitting he was “no fan” of Meghan.

After losing the 2020 election, Trump once again hit out at the Sussexes – this time during a chat with British politician Nigel Farage.

He claimed Harry had “ruined his relationship with his family” and that it had “hurt the queen”.

Donald Trump said he ‘wouldn’t protect’ Prince Harry amid visa issues

Following the release of Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, in which he wrote about past drug use, Trump furiously demanded that the Biden administration release details of the prince’s visa to see if the duke had disclosed past drug use.

The Biden administration opted to keep the details of Harry’s visa private. An angry Trump accused them of “protecting” the prince.

“I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me,” he fumed to the Express US.

Prince Harry would be given no ‘special privileges’ in US

In the same interview with Farage, Trump said that there would be no “special privileges” for the prince if it was found that he had lied about drug use on his visa.

He also added that “appropriate action” should be taken if this was the case.

Now that Trump is back in the White House, there has been speculation over whether or not he will follow through with his threats and make moves to deport Harry.

Real reason Queen Consort Camilla will change her royal title revealed: ‘It isn’t due to her popularity’

Queen Consort Camilla is set to undergo a major title change following the coronation in May, it has recently been reported.

Now, the real reason behind this change in title has been revealed by a royal expert – and it’s not due to her popularity.

Queen Consort Camilla to undergo major title change

Last week it was revealed that Camilla will undergo a major title change at the coronation.

As reported by The Mirror last Thursday (March 16), Camilla will be dropping the ‘Consort’ from her Queen Consort title soon.

Once the coronation is done, the 75-year-old will reportedly be simply known as Queen Camilla going forwards.

The news was revealed when the coronation edition of the bible was leaked.

In it, it reads: “To commemorate the Coronation of their majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. In the Abbey Church of St Peter, Westminster. The sixth day of May 2023.”

When Camilla first married Charles, it was expected that she would become Princess Consort when Charles became King.

However, as per the late Queen Elizabeth’s wishes, Camilla’s title was changed to Queen Consort when Charles took the throne.

Now it seems as though another tweak is in order for Camilla’s royal title.

Why is Queen Consort Camilla changing her title?

Now, the real reason behind Camilla’s title change has been revealed – and it’s nothing to do with her popularity.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam spoke exclusively to ED! about the decision to change Camilla’s title and the reasoning behind it.

“Camilla’s history with titles is unique,” he said.

“She was Princess of Wales but chose to be known as the Duchess of Cornwall,” he then continued.

” It was the official position that when Charles ascended the throne she would be known as Princess Consort, until the Queen’s intervention in the eve of her Platinum Jubilee.”

“She is Queen Consort, but it is a heavy handed title,” he then said.

Camilla title change not down to ‘popularity’

The royal expert then continued, saying: “None of the previous three Queen Consorts used it, Alexandra, Mary and Elizabeth were all known as Queen.”

“In the age of social media and the net bad habits such as calling Catherine – Kate Middleton persist,” he then said.

“It also makes sense to make a title easier to use, which is why the change is likely,” he then continued.

Camilla’s history with titles is unique.

Richard then revealed at this point that the title change has nothing to do with popularity.

“It isn’t really linked to her personal popularity,” he said.

However, there is also another reason behind the change, according to the royal expert.

“Queen Consort Camilla sounds clunky so it will probably change,” he revealed.

However, the president recently dismissed the speculation, saying that he has no plans to deport the prince. But, he couldn’t help but land one last jibe at the Duke of Sussex and his wife.

Speaking to the New York Post on February 7, he said: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

He then praised Harry’s older brother Prince William, adding: “I think William is a great young man. I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose.”
