King Charles’ alleged reaction to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Epstein scandal revelations has been revealed by a friend.
It comes after the king and Buckingham Palace issued a statement last week saying that they would support a police investigation into the disgraced royal.

The former prince has been embroiled in scandal for some years now, thanks to his links to late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
The former Duke of York, 65, has also faced allegations of sexual assault. The late Virginia Giuffre alleged she was made to have sex with Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein.
Andrew has always vehemently denied any allegations Ms Giuffre made against him.
In recent weeks, the US Department of Justice released over three million files in relation to Epstein and his crimes. Pictures appearing to show Andrew, on all fours, kneeling over an unidentified female who is lying on the ground, were released as part of the files. No context has been given for the photos. It’s also unknown when they were taken.
Being named or pictured in the Epstein files is not an indication of any wrongdoing. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
Files then also suggested that Andrew allegedly passed on confidential information to Epstein back in 2010, during his time as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
King Charles’ reaction to Andrew’s Epstein revelations
Now, a friend of the king has revealed the monarch’s reported reaction to his brother’s scandals.
Speaking to BBC Newsnight, Jonathan Dimbleby, a friend of the king’s and royal biographer, said he “would strongly believe” that the king would “very much like” for his brother to testify in front of US Congress.
He also suggested that King Charles will be “appalled” by the allegations being levelled at Andrew.
“It would be astonishing if he wasn’t concerned. Appalled by the allegations. And, of course, affected as his role as monarch because the headlines are all about this. No institution wants that,” he said.
“[Charles] emotions… he is very good at withstanding pressure. I think he will be feeling the pain of this,” he then continued.
Dimbleby suggested that the king must have strong feelings about the issue as he’s stripped Andrew of his titles and evicted him from Royal Lodge.
‘But he is his brother’
Dimbleby then continued, saying: “But he is a brother. Now, they may not be that close, but he is nonetheless a brother.”
“I suspect now that [Andrew] has been banished to an open prison somewhere on the Sandringham Estate, [Charles] will be sensing to give duty of care,” he then went on to say. “This man [Andrew] is a broken, finished man at best.”
