'Horror House’ Mom Reportedly Wanted Kate Gosselin-Style Reality TV Show

The parents were allegedly plotting a twisted scheme.

David and Louise Turpin – the parents who allegedly kept their 13 kids shackled and deprived of basic necessities in their California home for years – were reportedly after reality TV fame before they got arrested last week for a slew of disturbing charges.

The shocking claim was made by Louise’s brother, Billy Lambert, in an exclusive interview with British newspaper, the Daily Mirror.

Billy alleges that his sister wanted to be famous like Kate Gosselin, the star of TLC's Kate Plus 8.

And apparently, the mom allegedly believed conceiving a 14th child would put her on the fast-track to achieve Kate's level of stardom.

“Only last month Louise told me her and David were planning to have another child," the stunned sibling claimed.

“She used to say how they would be perfect for TV and would often mention they would be bigger than the reality show Kate Plus 8.

“She thought the world would be fascinated by their lives."

Billy also claimed the reality TV plot inspired the couple's recent move from Texas to a location near Hollywood, California.

"I asked her why on earth they wanted more children and she said about wanting a reality TV show," the 30-year-old alleged.

“It is the reason they moved to California to be nearer to Hollywood. They thought it would make them millions and household names.

“They didn’t care about the kids – it was all about them.”

Billy is horrified that his sister and brother-in-law have been charged with 12 counts of torture, 12 counts of false imprisonment, seven counts of abuse of a dependent adult and six counts of child abuse.

“If they were both given the death penalty I wouldn’t object," the disgusted relative, who claimed to be unaware of the abuse, said.

“What they did to the children is unforgivable. Seeing my sister laughing in court when they were charged made me ashamed to be her brother.

“I’ll never speak to her again. She is dead to me.”
