John Stamos is living his absolute best life.
The Fuller House star still can't wrap his mind around the idea that he's a father, welcoming his son Billy to the world just a few days ago.
Stamos revealed during On Air with Ryan Seacrest that his inspiration for the name came from his own father, who he considers his "hero."

"I hope I live up to what my dad did," he told Ryan Seacrest. "He was always bigger than life to me so I'm happy to honor him with our little Billy. I'm starting to cry right now, Ryan! I am so emotional!"
While chatting with Us Weekly, the 54-year-old said that just staring at his newborn's face brings him to tears.
"I FaceTimed him earlier and I cried," Stamos said, noting that Billy has "given me life" since being born. "It’s more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and I dreamt of this for a long time."
Stamos knows he's recognized in Hollywood for his dashing good looks, but now, he's prepared to put that youthfulness behind him in order to be the best dad possible.
"I’ve had Peter Pan syndrome and it’s time to let that go,” he told Us. "Somebody ran up to me and was like, ‘You’re finally gonna look old now that you have a kid.’ I’ll take it!"
Stamos also couldn't say enough great things about his wife, Caitlin McHugh, describing the moment she brought their baby boy into the world.
"My wife was so beautiful and so graceful through it all, like she does life,” he told Entertainment Tonight. "I mean, she just kind of breezed through. I hate to tell women, but she did it in about 20 minutes."
Stamos said it all happened "so fast."
"They were like, ‘Take pictures! Grab her leg!’ And then it was over," he added. "But it was just beautiful."
Stamos and McHugh married in February of this year. This is their first child together.
