The Teen Mom franchise is notorious for bringing the drama, but at least one baby daddy is fighting back against some serious allegations.
Kailyn Lowry is reportedly seeking legal counsel to take her newborn son's father to task for not claiming paternity. And according to a recent Instagram post, he's having none of it.
Chris Lopez is reportedly furious that two-month-old Lux Russell may not bear his last name.
"You watch Floyd one time now you think you can fight. Love you boy. #youngking #YouALopezRegardless," he wrote on social media.
Chris has been largely silent since Lux's birth, and wasn't exactly a wealth of information during Kailyn's pregnancy either.
But now it appears the new dad is ready to fight for time with his son.
Recently Radar reported that the Teen Mom 2 star was holding Lux back from seeing his father until Chris claimed paternity. An insider told the site that there's a theory he doesn't want to legally say he's the father because that would allow Kailyn to request child support.
It took the 25-year-old eight weeks to legally declare her youngest son's name. In part, insiders say, because she was hoping to come to some sort of agreement with Chris over the moniker...and paternity.
Chris was reportedly in the delivery room when Kailyn gave birth to Lux.
“Her lawyer drew something up and they are going through the court because he (Chris) doesn’t have any rights to Lux without signing,” a tipster told Radar. “He's not seeing the baby right now for those reasons.”
Kailyn is also at odds with her ex-husband Javi Marroquin.
The two are quarreling over his memoir, which depicts the reality star in a less than positive light, and a recent trip to Disney World with her costar Briana DeJesus.
