Rachael Ray gifted a woman who in a sad turn of events, lost one of the most important elements of her wedding with the shock of a lifetime on her daytime talk series, The Rachael Ray Show.
The host and Food Network star heard the story of a woman who had lost the wedding dress of her dreams when the store she had purchased it from went bankrupt.
LeAnna Poe of Chattanooga, TN lost both her deposit of $1,200 and her dress in the devastating incident.
LeAnna reportedly purchased her wedding dress from Alfred Angelo Bridal, a year before the day of her wedding, allowing for the store to get her dream dress in and to do alterations before the big event.
The Altamonte Springs, Fla., bridal shop was the closest dress store near her Eustis, Fla., hometown.
Alfred Angelo Bridal was one of the world's largest manufacturers and retailers of bridal fashions but just months after LeAnna bought her dress; the store went bankrupt, leaving her without her deposit or a dress.
LeAnna is set to wed Matt Scott in 2018.
LeAnna revealed on the show that her dream dress was over her budget and her family had pitched in to help with the expenses. Not only was she out her money, her family members were as well.
To assist the couple, a friend set up a GoFundMe account that had raised $200 toward a new dress thus far and that’s how Rachael Ray’s involvement with the couple came to be.
The story caught the eye of producers of The Rachael Ray Show.
"Imagine finding the wedding dress of your dreams and then losing it," said Rachael on the show to her viewers. “That's exactly what happened to bride-to-be LeAnna. So when we heard her story, we had to help."
Rachael flew LeAnna to New York to appear on the show and surprised her with not only three gorgeous choices from an upscale Manhattan boutique; the show also few in her mother Rhonda Poe to help her make her selection. Rachael also enlisted the help of stylist Greta Monahan.
LeAnna selected a gorgeous dress with a deep plunge. She said of the dress, "It had a New York elegance with a little more glam."
She ended up with a gorgeous dress and the trip of a lifetime, all thanks to Rachael Ray.
