Fans of TLC’s Sister Wives have wondered if there would be a Season 12 of the popular reality series that centers on the extended Brown family ever since Season 11 ended in January of 2017.
The show centered on the lives of the clan throughout the summer of 2016 and since then, production details regarding the Brown family’s return to TLC have been sketchy.
In fact, the network's decision to remain quiet about the polygamous Brown family and the series has caused fans to wonder if it has been canceled.
At the present time, the show's future remains uncertain because so much time has passed since the previous season aired.
Allegations regarding the possible cancellation of the series stemmed from an interview published in Life & Style with a “friend” of Robyn Brown back in late 2016.
Kendra Pollard claimed series patriarch Kody Brown was nervous he was going to lose the show. He was reportedly “desperate” to do anything it took to keep the show on TLC, including allegations of taking a fifth wife.
"He wants to stay relevant to TLC,” Kendra stated to Life and Style. "If he takes on new wives, she said she'll leave. This isn't what she signed up for."
Robyn then took to Twitter, slamming Kendra’s claims.
“Conversations that never happened, texts that were never sent, friendships that don't exist, situations that aren't real- makes for a fun read,” said Robyn on her official Twitter account.

Since the season wrapped, there have been many changes within the Brown family.
Meri and Kody's daughter Mariah announced she was gay, Janelle and Kody's daughter Maddie married and had a son, Axel; Kody and Christine's daughter, Mykelti, also wed and Kody and Janelle’s son Logan became engaged.
Fans have taken to the show’s official Facebook to express their concerns over the show’s possible cancellation, saying they are not done learning more about the Brown clan.
Said one fan on Facebook, “I hope that they do return I look forward to watching them, it's been a long time waiting!
Another commented, “Can hardly wait for the new season!!!! I'm thankful for Twitter and Instagram, so I can follow them during hiatus. I've been a fan since day one!!! Love this family and show!!!
TLC issued a press release regarding the 2017-2018 season which stated, “TLC has long been the home for loveable families. Fan favorites returning to share more life changes and milestones are The Little Couple, Kate Plus 8, the Busbys of OutDaughtered, Little People Big World, Sister Wives and many more.”
