'GMA' Viewers Accuse Camila Cabello of 'Lip-Syncing' During Performance

"How about you sing instead of fake singing," one said.

Camila Cabello performed her brand new track, "Never Be the Same," live on Friday's edition of Good Morning America.

While fans in the audience at GMA studios were thrilled, the singer failed to impress some viewers at home who accused her of lip-syncing.

Camila, 20, released her new album Camila on Jan. 12 and told GMA co-host Michael Strahan that she couldn't sleep last night because of her excitement.

Following her performance, many of her fans praised the young star, but others weren't so complimentary.

One person tweeted: "Lip Sync & terrible... can't imagine how bad it would be if live!!"

Another said: "Lip sync... I literally turn off the show until it is over."

Others couldn't stop gushing over the Cuban-born "Havana" singer's performance.

One person gushed: "She's incredible," while another added: "Wow, she's a star!"

Talking to Michael just minutes before performing, Camila said: "I woke up at 4 a.m. to come here but I just couldn't sleep, my heart was beating so fast because I feel there's been so much build up towards this moment."

Michael then asked her how she felt after Barack Obama said her hit track "Havana" was his favorite song of 2017.

"I started crying," she admitted. "I filmed a video and sent it to my friends.

"I love the Obamas and I got the opportunity to meet him and thank him for everything he's doing for matters of immigration. And his playlist was popping!"

This is Camila's first solo album after leaving chart-topping pop group Fifth Harmony in December 2016.
